Replace your registration certificate

If your registration certificate is lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged, you must apply for a replacement certificate.

You can either apply online or contact us in writing as soon as possible.

You will need to tell us your:

  • name
  • address
  • type of registration
  • registration certificate number (if you know it)
  • reason for a replacement.

You will also need to pay a certificate replacement fee.

We will send you a new certificate within 2 weeks. Your registration is still active while we process your request.

You may incur a fine if your licence is missing or illegible. To prove that you have applied for a replacement, keep a copy of:

  • your request for a new certificate
  • the receipt for your replacement fee.
